State ID List Dialog Box

Use the State ID List dialog box to enter the state identification numbers for all states for which you have withheld taxes for employees (Payroll - W-2 Processing) or vendors (Accounting - 1099 Processing).

If your firm uses the Multicompany feature, each company must establish its own list of State IDs. The State IDs that display are valid for the active company.

Location

To display the dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Human Resources > Payroll > Form W-2 Processing.
  2. Click State IDs from the toolbar.

Field Description
State Select the state abbreviation from the State drop-down list.
Employer's State I.D. Enter your firm's state identification number. This number appears in Box 16 of the W-2 form. Any associated state wages and income tax withholdings appear in Boxes 17 and 18, respectively.

The identification number is assigned to you by your state for the purpose of filing wage and tax reports to state or local government taxing agencies.

Insert Click this option to add a new state and state ID number.
Delete Select a state and click this option to remove the state ID number.
