Azure Active Directory Tab of General System Settings Form

Use this tab to enter settings that will interface with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to provide single sign-on for the Vision cloud offering, Deltek First Vision Essentials, or on-premise Vision.

Single sign-on allows users to log onto Vision using their Windows user name and password instead of a Vision user name and password when your company's Active Directory domain is hosted within the Microsoft Azure cloud. Azure AD allows you to securely synchronize your users' network credential information to the cloud.

Single sign-on support does not affect or replace the Windows Authentication functionality available natively within Vision for on-premise customers. Instead, it expands functionality for First Vision Essentials and broadens single sign-on support for on-premise Vision.

Before you enter information on this tab, you must complete the configuration steps described in one of the following guides:

  • Deltek First Vision Essentials Administrator Guide, for customers who access Vision via the Deltek cloud
  • Deltek Technical Installation Guide, for customers who have Vision deployed on-premise

These configuration steps include:

  1. Signing up for a Microsoft Azure AD account.
  2. Completing single sign-on configuration in Azure AD.
