Merge Templates for the Government SF Proposals

Proposals comes installed with a set of default merge templates for each of the government proposals: SF254, SF255, and SF330.

Each merge template in the set is a rich text file (.rtf) that applies to a different page of an SF proposal. The files contain merge codes that are designed to retrieve data from fields in the Vision Info Centers.

To see the default merge template .rft file for each page of an SF proposal: In Proposals > SF254 Proposals, Proposals > SF255 Proposals, and Proposals > SF330 Proposals, click Edit > Template Editor on the toolbar of the SF proposals form. Select Vision Default Template in the Template Set Name field to view the set of files.

You cannot edit the Deltek-provided default merge template files directly, but you can create a different set of template files to use instead. To do this, you use the Template Editor for the SF form to export any of the default merge template files to Microsoft Word, give them different file names, and edit them. After you make edits to the files, you add the new files to a new template set in the Template Editor. You change the default set of templates for your proposals by clicking Edit > Preferences on the toolbar of the SF proposals form.
