Enter Unit Quantities

You can enter unit transactions for work groups, equipment, or other assets.

The Unit Quantities tab is available on the Timesheet form only if Enable unit quantities feature is selected on the Setup Tab of Company Timesheet Configuration and if Allow Employee to charge units in Timesheet is selected on the Time tab of the Employee Info Center.

To enter unit quantities, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the timesheet for which you want to enter data.
  2. Click the Unit Quantities tab.
  3. Click the last row on the grid or click Insert on the grid to insert a blank row beneath the currently selected row.
  4. Enter values in the Project, Phase, Task, Unit, and Unit Table fields on the blank row.
  5. Click the Day/Date field on the blank row that corresponds to the day for which you are charging units to this project/phase/task/unit/unit table combination.
  6. To enter the number of units, select one of the following actions:
    • Enter the amount directly in the Day/Date field.

    • Enter the amount in the Quantity field at the lower right of the Unit Quantity tab.

    • Optional. Enter text in the Description field or click the drop-down list to select a description.

    • Enter as many rows of unit detail as you need, then click Save.

  7. Optional. Enter text in the Description field or click the drop-down list to select a description.
  8. Enter as many rows of unit detail as you need, then click Save.
