Example of Account Key Conversion Transfer Accounts Between Banks

You can use the Key Conversion utility to convert an account number when you switch banks.

If you want to continue to use a particular account number to denote your primary operating bank account, convert the old account to a new number. Then add your new bank account information and associate it with your operating Vision account number. Your old bank account is maintained as a closed account.

To convert an old bank account's activity to a new account, complete the following steps:

  1. Back up your Vision database.
  2. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Key Conversions > Accounts.
  3. On the Key Convert Accounts form, click Insert.
  4. In the Account field, enter 101.00, which is your primary checking account (your operating bank account).
  5. In the New Account field, enter 105.00.
  6. Click Run to run the key conversion.
  7. Click Save.
