Create a New Phase from an Existing Phase

You can base a new phase on an existing phase.

To create a new phase from an existing phase, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Info Center > Projects.
  2. On the Project Info Center form, open the project record.
  3. Click New and select Create Phase from.
  4. On the Create Phase from dialog box, set the Copy from field to Existing Project and make the following selections:
    1. Click Search in the first Project field to open the Project lookup and select an existing project with phases.
    2. Click Search in the second Project field to open the Phase/Task lookup and select the phase on which the new phase will be based.
  5. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Phase from dialog box and click OK. Vision closes the dialog box and copies the phase details into the record.
  6. Enter a unique name and number and modify other phase information on the tabs of the form.
  7. Click Save.
