Associations Grid Examples - Client Info Center

You can associate records on the Associations grid.

Example One

If your company is working on a project for a client company, as well as projects for two subsidiaries or divisions of that company, you can have three separate client records entered in your Client Info Center. Use the Associations grid for each of the three client records to associate the records and define the relationships, such as parent, subsidiary, or division.

Example Two

If you open the client record for Columbia University and add CU Law School to the Associations grid:

  • CU Law School — and the relationship you define — displays in the Associations grid on the Associations tab of Columbia University's client record.

  • Columbia University — and the relationship you define — displays in the Associations grid on the Associations tab of CU Law School's client record.

If you remove the association from the Associations grid in either Columbia University's client record or CU Law School's client record, the association is removed from the Associations grid in both records.
