Sort Data in an Excel Report

You can sort Excel PivotTable reports by dimension or measure data.

To sort data in an Excel PivotTable report, complete the following steps:

1. To sort dimension data in an Excel PivotTable report, complete the following actions:
   1. In the PivotTable report layout area, click the down arrow beside Row Labels or Column Labels that you want to sort.
   2. On the dialog box that opens, select Sort A to Z, Sort Z to A, or More Sort Options.
2. To sort measure data, complete the following actions:
   1. In the PivotTable report layout area, right-click any cell in the column that you want to sort, and on the shortcut menu, click Sort.
   2. On the shortcut menu, select Sort Smallest to Largest, Sort Largest to Smallest, or More Sort Options.
