Use the General tab to select options for the Project Planning Visualization and to save sets of options for reuse.
The date you specify in
ETC/JTD Date Basis is the date Vision uses to calculate estimate to complete (ETC) and job-to-date (JTD) hours and amounts.

Job-to-date amounts are the actual costs or hours incurred on or before the date you specify in
ETC/JTD Date Basis. For example, if you select
Today's Date, the job-to-date cost amount is the sum of all actual cost amounts dated today or earlier.

Estimate to complete amounts are estimates of the total additional cost or hours, beyond the actual cost and hours charged to date, that are required to complete the work. An estimate to complete amount is the sum of all planned amounts dated after the date you specify in
ETC/JTD Date Basis. For example, if you select
Today's Date, the estimate to complete amount is the sum of all planned amounts dated tomorrow or later.

Select this check box to display the
Load Settings button and
Save Settings button above the map in the Visualization window and display the size and color sliders below the map.
Use the
Save Settings button to save the settings for a version of the visualization map, and use the
Load Settings button to load those settings and regenerate the corresponding version of the map.
Use the sliders to do the following:

Change the range of metric values represented by the block sizes.

Change the range of metric values represented by colors.
-
Change how color is assigned to metric values.
If you intend to add the visualization map to your Dashboard, it is recommended that you do not select this option in order to use all of the limited space for the map itself.

Select one of the following options to specify the date Vision uses to calculate the job-to-date amounts and estimate to complete amounts:

Today's Date

Period End Date — Vision uses the end date of the current accounting period.

Specific Date — Enter the date, or click
 to select the date.

| Only include plans marked for Utilization and Project Reports
|
Select this check box to include only plans for which the
Include in Utilization and Project Reports check box is selected on the General tab of the Project Planning form.

|
To restrict the metrics available for the map to those that are tracked in a particular currency, select the currency.
