Client Summary: Combined Client and Vendor Records

If your firm maintains both client and vendor records, you can use one combined info center to maintain all client and vendor information, or you can keep the info centers separate but still link your client and vendor records. If you use the option to combine client and vendor records, the Client Summary has some additional features.

If you use the option to combine client and vendor records, you can select a Linked Client column for this report to show connections between vendor and client records.

Project and Opportunity Grid Filter Options

If you combine your client and vendor records, the Client Summary has some additional filter options related to your selections in Report Sections to Include:

  • If you select Project in Report Sections to Include on the General tab of the Options dialog box, you can specify in Grid Filter whether you want to include project records for which the client is classified as the following:
    • Client
    • Vendor
    • Both client and vendor
    • Neither client nor vendor (the "client" may be a partner or a competitor, for example)
  • If you select Opportunity in Report Sections to Include on the General tab of the Options dialog box, you can specify in Grid Filter whether you want to include opportunity records for which the client is classified as the following:
    • Client
    • Vendor
    • Both client and vendor
    • Neither client nor vendor (the "client" may be a partner or a competitor, for example)
