Time and Expense Configuration Overview

Use the Time and Expense Configuration forms to set up and administer processing options for timesheets and expense reports created using the Time and Expense application.

The Time and Expense application is separate and distinct from the Timesheets and Employee Expenses transaction entry options available in the Vision Transaction Center. The processing options you set up in Time and Expense Configuration apply only to timesheets and expense reports created using the Time and Expense application.

Employee Groups

Create employee groups if you want to organize employees into discrete groups for timesheet or expense report entry, editing, submitting, approval, and posting purposes. You create and modify employee groups on the Employee Groups tab of Company Timesheet Configuration or Company Expense Report Configuration.

Multicompany

If your firm uses the Multicompany feature, you must:

  • Define system-wide processing options for the Time and Expense applications.

  • Define company-specific processing options for each company within your enterprise.
