Save Email Attachments

When you create an activity for an outgoing or incoming email message that includes an attachment, Vision adds an Attachments tab to the Deltek Vision - Activity dialog box. Use this tab to enter a description of the attachment and the location in which you want to save it.

After you save the attachment, the description and location are linked to any entries associated with the activity on the Files tab. Your system administrator must configure Vision to save email attachments.

To save an email attachment related to an activity, complete the following steps:

  1. When the Deltek Vision - Activity dialog box displays, click the Attachments tab.
  2. Make any changes you want to the default information in Description and Name.
  3. In Path, enter or browse to the location in which you want to save the attachment.
  4. Click OK.
