After you configure Microsoft Office Integration, you can easily share information between Vision and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Use Vision Addresses with Outlook
    When you use Microsoft Office Integration, your Vision contacts and leads are automatically shared with Outlook in a global address list. Use the Vision Address Book option on the Add-Ins toolbar in Outlook to select Vision contacts and leads as the recipients of your email.

    When you add new Outlook contacts, use the Validate Contact feature to check for related information in Vision. This ensures that contact information in the two applications are in sync.

    In Outlook, you can use the Contact Summary dialog box to view a contact's current Vision activities, projects, proposals, and associations.

    You can automatically create an activity in Vision when you send an email message in Outlook.
  • Receive an Email Message in Outlook and Create an Activity in Vision
    When you receive an email message in Outlook, you can create an associated activity in Vision.
  • Save Email Attachments
    When you create an activity for an outgoing or incoming email message that includes an attachment, Vision adds an Attachments tab to the Deltek Vision - Activity dialog box. Use this tab to enter a description of the attachment and the location in which you want to save it.
