Create a Calculated Measure for Analysis Cubes

If you use Vision Analysis Cubes, you can create calculated measures to add to the Vision project data cube.

To create a calculated measure, complete the following steps:
  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > General > Analysis Cubes.
  2. On the Analysis Cubes form, click the Calculated Measures tab.
  3. Click New Calculation to open the Add Calculated Measure dialog box.
  4. Enter information on the Add Calculated Measure dialog box to create the calculated measure.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Use the Vision Resource Kit to update the Vision Project data cube with the calculated measures.

    All calculated measures that you create on the Calculated Measures tab are updated to the project data cube when you perform the Apply Cubes Configuration in the Resource Kit. You do not have to select calculated measures on the Measures tab in Analysis Cubes Configuration to update the project data cube. (Calculated measures do not display on the Measures tab.)

    After you update the project data cube with the calculated measures, the calculated measures display:
    • In Microsoft Excel, in the PivotTable List.

    • Within the group and folder that you selected for each on the Add Calculated Measure dialog box.

If you need to modify a calculated measure, use the Edit Calculation option on the Calculated Measures tab. Remember to use the Vision Resource Kit to update the Vision Project data cube with the changes to the calculated measures.
