Remove a Filter

You can remove a filter from a report or you can remove the ability to filter a report altogether.

After you add a filter to a report field, you see a Funnel icon next to the down arrow beside the Row Labels or Column Labels to indicate that a filter is applied.

To remove filters from a report, complete the following step:

Select one of the following actions:
  • To remove a filter from a report, click the Funnel icon beside Row Labels or Column Labels, and on the next dialog box click Clear Filter From <field name>.

    Alternatively, click and drag the field out of the Report Filter area of the PivotTable Field List, and drop it anywhere on the screen.

  • To remove the ability to filter a report, click Field Headers on the Options tab, in the Show/Hide group. The Row Labels and Column Labels headings in the report layout area no longer display.

    Click Field Headers again to restore the headings.
