Functional Groups Tab of Fee Estimate Service Profiles

Use the Functional Groups tab to specify the functional groups that apply to each service profile. This makes it possible for you to create sets of functional groups that meet the particular needs of each service profile.

The fee basis (chargeable cost) will be entered by the functional group in the fee estimate, and the functional group could be part of a new project's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) when created from a fee estimate.

The functional groups that are assigned to that service profile are available in the Functional Group drop-down list in the Opportunity Info Center. When a user creates a fee estimate in the Opportunity Info Center and in the Project Fee Estimate application in Accounting, they must select a service profile. This dictates the functional groups that are available for selection when building a fee estimate, and ensures that the appropriate functional groups are matched with their respective service profiles.

Field	Description
Functional Groups Drop-down	Click the drop-down arrow on a grid header to complete any of the following actions: To print grid data, click Print. On the Print Preview form, click File > Print to send the grid data to your default printer. To export grid data to an Excel spreadsheet, click Export to Excel. When Microsoft Excel opens, use its features to modify, print, or email the grid data, or to save the spreadsheet file locally. To turn on grouping for a grid, click Enable Grouping. When a field displays with the instruction: "Drag a column header here to group by that column," drag and drop column headers into the field, in the sequence that you want them to display. Not all options are available on all grids.
Insert	Click this option to insert a phase on the Functional Groups grid.
Delete	Click this option to delete the selected phase from the Functional Groups grid.
Functional Group	Select a functional group for the service profile. The functional groups that display in this list are entered on the Functional Groups tab of Configuration > General > Fee Estimate Groups. If you do not see the functional group that you need, you must first enter it in Fee Estimate Groups.
Description	This field displays a description of the functional groups.
Disable	Select this option to disable this functional group. This functional group will not be available when creating the fee estimate in the Opportunity Info Center and in the Project Fee Estimate application in Accounting.
