Inventory Transaction History Columns Tab

Use the Columns tab to select or clear columns, change column sequence, provide new column labels, set column widths, or select number and date formats.

Field Description
Transaction No This column displays the transaction number.
Transaction Type This column displays the transaction type. The following are the possible values:
  • IS (Inventory Issues) — Transactions that fulfill item requests.
  • QA (Quantity Adjustments) — Transactions that adjust the quantity of the inventory item on hand.
  • LM (Location Moves) — Transactions that change the location of inventory items within your firm.
  • CA (Cost Adjustments) — Transactions that adjust original costs and updated costs for inventory items.
Transaction Date This column displays the date on which the transaction was posted.
Item This column displays the inventory item number.
Description This column displays the description of the item.
Category This column displays the category to which the item belongs (for example, Furniture, Phone, or Office Supplies).
Location This column displays the location in which the item is stored or the location from which the item was issued or moved.
Transaction Quantity This column displays the number of inventory items involved in the transaction.
Transaction Cost This column displays the cost of the inventory items involved in the transaction.
U/M This column displays the unit of measure for the items (for example, each, box, case, or dozen).
Transaction Total This column displays the total cost for the inventory items involved in the transaction.
Performed By This column displays the employee number of the employee who performed the transaction.
Performed By Name This column displays the name of the employee who performed the transaction.
Submitted/Received By This column displays the employee number of the employee who submitted the transaction. For receipt transactions, this column displays the employee number of the employee who received the inventory item, as entered in Purchasing > Receiving.
Submitted/Received By Name This column displays the name of the employee who submitted the transaction. For receipt transactions, this column displays the name of the employee who received the inventory item, as entered in Purchasing > Receiving.
Submitted/Received Date This column displays the date on which the transaction was submitted. For receipt transactions, this column displays the date on which the inventory item was received, as entered in Purchasing > Receiving.
Comment This column displays the text entered to describe the transaction when the transaction was posted.
Location From If the transaction is a location move, this column displays the original location of the inventory item.
Adj Unit Cost If the transaction is a cost adjustment, this column displays the amount by which the original inventory item unit cost was increased or decreased.
Project If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the number of the project associated with the transaction.
Phase If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the number of the phase associated with the transaction.
Task If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the number of the task associated with the transaction.
Project Name If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the name of the project associated with the transaction.
Phase Name If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the name of the phase associated with the transaction.
Task Name If the transaction is an inventory issue, quantity adjustment, or unit cost adjustment, this column displays the name of the task associated with the transaction.
Account If the transaction is a quantity adjustment or cost adjustment, this column displays the account that receives the credit entry for an increase in unit cost.
Skip GL This column contains Y or N (Yes or No) to indicate whether or not you are suppressing charges to the general ledger account associated with the inventory transaction.
Reason If the transaction is a quantity adjustment or cost adjustment, this column displays a code that indicates the reason for the adjustment.
Create User This column displays the Vision user ID of the employee who created the transaction.
Create Date This column displays the date on which the transaction was created.
