Toolbar of the Bank Statement Reconciliation Form

Use the toolbar options to create and display bank statement reconciliations, import bank transactions into the statement, and to save your work.

Field Description
Save Click this option to save your entries on the form.
New Click this option to start the reconciliation process for a newly received bank statement.
Open Click this option to open a bank statement reconciliation that has already been saved.
Print Click this option to generate the Bank Reconciliation report for the currently displayed reconciliation.
Import Click this option and then click one of the following options:
  • Import Bank Transactions — Select this option to import transactions from a bank statement into Vision. On the Import New Bank Transactions dialog box, select a file that contains the bank data to import.
  • Import Bank Transactions Errors — Select this option to print import errors. The report identifies any errors that were encountered during the last bank statement import.
  • Import Bank Transaction History — Select this option to review past imports associated with the statement and to undo imported bank transactions (for example, when you have imported them into the wrong bank statement).
Close Utility Click this option to mark the reconciliations as closed for multiple statements.

The main purpose of this option is to provide an easy way to close all of your old reconciliations the first time that you upgrade to a version of Vision that offers the option to close reconciliations. After that, you can close them one at a time using the Closed check box on the Main tab.
