Activity Calendar Sharing

If you use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application, you can share your activity calendar with other users at your firm.

Before you can share your activity calendar with other users, your system administrator must select the Allow users to share their calendar check box on the Miscellaneous tab of General System Settings Configuration.

Users who share your calendar can perform the following actions:

  • View, add, or modify your calendar activities based on the activity record level view and record level update settings for the user's role entered on the Record Access tab in Configuration > Security > Roles.
  • See your private activities (subject, time, and detail) only if they are the owner, creator, or an attendee of the activity.
  • View your private activities (subject, date, and detail) only if they are the owner, creator, or an attendee. If they are not, your private activities display with a Private Appointment subject line, and they cannot access the detail.

Use the Share Calendar dialog box to select users with whom you want to share your calendar.

Use the Open Calendar dialog box to open another user's activity calendar. The other user must first give you access on the Share Calendar dialog box.
