Merge an SF330 Proposal

After you finish adding data to the SF330 form tabs, you can merge the data, using SF330 merge templates, to make a formatted SF330 proposal.

The merge procedure makes a merge file that has the filename that you specify and a file extension of .rtf. For each of the 330 Sections that you select, the SF330 proposal merge file has a part. There are a maximum of six parts. Each part has a File Name#:

  • First Page — File Name1.rtf
  • Section E [Resumes] — File Name2.rtf
  • Section F [Projects] — File Name3.rtf
  • Section G [Personnel Matrix] — File Name4.rtf
  • Section H [Additional Info] — File Name5.rtf
  • Part II [General Qualifications] — File Name6.rtf

To merge an SF330 with its template set, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Proposals > SF330 Proposals.
  2. On the SF330 toolbar, click Save.
  3. On the toolbar, click Edit > Preferences.
  4. On the SF330 form, specify the Template Set to use for this merge procedure and click OK.
  5. On the toolbar, click the Merge button.
  6. On the Merge SF330 dialog box, select the 330 sections to merge. As you select each section, the Records in Selection box shows the records that will be included in the section. You cannot change the records here.
  7. In the File Name field, enter a name for the merge file.
  8. Click the Merge button. The File Download dialog box displays and the Merge SF330 dialog box stays open.
  9. On the File Download dialog box, you can merge one page at a time, or more than one page at the same time.
    • If you merge one page at a time, click Open to open the file in Microsoft Word or click Save to save the file to a location that you specify.
    • If you merge more than one page at the same time, click Save.
The Save As dialog box opens briefly for the first page. Then the File Download dialog box displays. A separate File Download dialog box displays in your task bar for each page. As you save each file to a designated location, a Download Complete dialog box displays.

Ignore the File Type on the Save As dialog box. The merged SF330 proposal file is always an .rtf file. You can open the saved .rtf file in Microsoft Word, run a graphics macro if the file has graphic files, and save the file as a .doc file.

  10. To merge more sections, or to change the sections to merge, repeat steps 6, 7, 8 and 9.
  11. If you selected the Signature option on the 330 Preferences dialog box, use the Vision Graphics button on the Vision Word Macro Toolbar to merge the signature image file(s) into Section H and/or Part II of this proposal.
