Submit a Timesheet

You can submit a timesheet for processing at any time prior to the close of the labor period.

Your system administrator can configure Vision to notify you when timesheets are due for submission or approval. If your system administrator does not to allow users to resubmit timesheets, you can submit a timesheet only once.

To submit a timesheet, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the timesheet that you want to submit.
  2. Review the timesheet for accuracy.
  3. Click Submit.

    Depending on the processing options selected by your system administrator, one or more of the following may occur:

    • If you are not allowed to resubmit timesheets, Vision displays the following message:

      No changes can be made to submitted timesheets. Are you sure you want to submit this timesheet?

      Click Yes to continue.

    • If electronic signatures (passwords) are required, Vision displays the Confirm Electronic Signature dialog box. Enter your electronic signature in Password and click OK.

      Use the password that your system administrator assigned you in Security Configuration or, if you are using Windows Integrated Security, enter your Windows password.

    • If Vision is required to check hours entered against hours expected, you receive a warning or error if a discrepancy is found.

      If you receive a warning, click Yes to continue submitting your timesheet, or click No to revise and resubmit your timesheet.

      If you receive an error, you must review and revise your timesheet entries. If you receive an error when submitting it again, contact your system administrator.

    • If Timesheet Audits are enabled and revision explanations are required, the Revision Audit dialog box displays. Use the Explanation drop-down list to select an explanation for your timesheet revision. You can modify this information in the Reason field, or use the Vision Text Editor to enter and save a Reason.
    Vision submits the timesheet for processing.
