Activity Manager Overview

Use the Activity Manager to access all completed or pending activities for which you have security access. You can schedule, copy, delete, modify, and review your client, contact, lead, marketing campaign, employee, opportunity, and project activities.

Use the Activity Manager to organize and manage client and contact relationships, opportunity events, and project activities, from lead generation and proposal development through project planning, execution, and completion.

The Activity Calendar, Activity Manager, Info Center, and Dashboard applications share activity data. With the Activity Manager, you add, modify, or delete activity information, and your modifications are immediately available in the other three applications.

The exceptions to sharing are as follows:

  • The Activity Calendar displays only phone calls, meetings, and tasks. To view other types of activities, you must use the Activity Manager, Info Center, or Dashboard.
  • Project Planning tasks display only on the Activity Calendar. The tasks do not display on the Activity Manager, the Dashboard, or in the Info Center.

When you delete an activity, the activity is removed from the following applications:

  • The Activity Calendar for each employee included on the attendee list.
  • The Activity Manager for all employees.
  • The Activities grid in the Employee Info Center record for each employee included on the attendee list.
  • The Activities grid of the associated Info Center records.
  • The Dashboard for each employee included on the attendee list.
