Reapply User-Defined Field Labels in Data Cubes

When a system administrator uses the Vision Resource Kit to configure Vision Analysis Cubes for the first time, any label changes from General System Settings are applied to the dimensions in the Analysis Cubes data cubes.

If labels are modified after Analysis Cubes is configured, the new label is not visible in Excel until a system administrator reapplies labels using the Vision Resource Kit.

System administrators change rename key fields on the Labels tab in Configuration > General > System Settings.

Dimensions have a tilde (~) beside their name in the Excel PivotTable Field List when their custom label has not been applied yet.

To reapply user-defined field labels in the Vision data cubes, complete the following steps:

  1. On your Vision database server, select Windows Start > All Programs > Deltek Vision > Deltek Vision > Resource Kit to open the Resource Kit.
  2. Click the Database tab.
  3. Navigate to the Analysis Services tab on the Database tab.
  4. On the Analysis Services tab, click the Step 3: Apply System Labels to Cubes button.
  5. When the system label processing finishes, click Step 5: Populate DW and Vision Cubes.
  6. When you receive a message that the Deltek Vision data warehouse and analysis cubes have been populated, click OK.
