Pause Automatic Updates
As you interact with a performance dashboard, it may have to send a query to the data source to update the data on the dashboard.
If you are working with a dense dashboard with a lot of data or a very large data source, the automatic update may take a long time. If this occurs and you want to avoid waiting for each update while you make several changes to filter values, for example, use the Pause Automatic Updates icon (
) to pause the automatic updates until you are finished making changes.

To pause automatic updates for a dashboard, complete the following steps:

Click
at the bottom of the dashboard.
- Select all filter values that you want to apply.

Click the Resume Automatic Updates icon (
) at the bottom of the dashboard.
Result: The dashboard is updated based on the current filters.
