Delete a Timesheet Labor Period

You can delete a timesheet labor period from your calendar at any time. You can use this procedure to purge old timesheets from your database.

When you delete a labor period, Vision does the following:

  • Deletes the labor period from the Calendar grid on the Calendar tab of Company Timesheet Configuration.

  • Deletes all timesheets entered for that period. Vision does not delete the timesheet data that you posted to your database. Data from deleted timesheets is still reflected in employee and project reports.

To delete a labor period, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > Time & Expense > Company Timesheet.
  2. Click the Calendar tab on the Company Timesheet Configuration form.
  3. In the grid, click the row that contains the labor period that you want to delete.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Delete.

    Vision displays the following message:

    Warning: Deleting a labor period will also delete all corresponding timesheet data. Are you sure you want to delete the period from MM/DD/ YY to MM/DD/ YY?

  5. Click Yes to delete the selected labor period from the Calendar grid.
  6. Click Save.
