Create a Client from a Vendor

After you convert the vendor records, you must use Vision Security Configuration to disable the Vendor Info Center for all roles.

If Vision detects possible duplicate records during this procedure, the Potential Duplicate Records Found dialog box displays. This dialog box lists any existing record that already has the identifier that you are trying to use for a new record.

To create a client from a vendor record:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Advanced Utilities > Create Client from Vendor.
  2. Complete the fields on the Main tab of the Create Client from Vendor form.
  3. Click the Field Mappings tab and complete the fields on the tab.
  4. Click Duplicate Client Check to check for duplicate client records.
  5. Review the records to be sure that the record that you are adding does not already exist in your database.
  6. Click Run to run the conversion process. Vision displays the Confirm Run dialog box to warn you that the conversion makes permanent changes to the database.
  7. Click Yes to continue.
