Upload a VPM Workbook

Upload VPM Workbooks to Vision.

Prerequisites: Before uploading, make sure you have the TWB file to be uploaded available locally on your computer.

Even though you have the option to save your custom workbooks as a *.twb or *.twbx extension using Tableau Desktop, only *.twb files are supported for uploading in Vision Performance Management. Attempting to upload a *.twbx workbook causes an error during the upload process and results with a failed upload and an error message. You can convert or save other file formats as a *.twb file before uploading the workbook file.

To upload a VPM workbook, complete the following steps:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > General > Performance Management.
2. On the Workbooks tab, click Upload in the Workbook grid toolbar.
3. On the Upload Workbook dialog box, click Open in the Workbook File field.
4. On the Select custom report file to upload dialog box, select the TWB file that you will upload, and click OK. The dialog box closes and the Workbook File field is filled in with the path of the workbook file.
5. Select the Show Sheets as Tab check box to display the workbook as a tab in the dashboard.
6. Click OK. If an existing workbook is already in the Workbook grid and the TWB file you selected has the same file name, Vision displays a prompt that asks you to confirm that you want to overwrite the existing workbook. Click Yes to continue or click No if you do not want to overwrite the existing workbook.

   A status message displays after the upload is complete, and the workbook file displays in the Workbook grid.
