Employee Merge Codes

Use employee merge codes to retrieve information from the Employee Info Center for use in Custom Proposals.

Insert Resume Text

  • If the text must be selected for each employee when you make a proposal, use the Merged Resume code on the left side of the Merge Codes dialog box.

  • If the same category of text must be inserted for each employee, without referring to the text selected in Custom Proposals, use the Resume Category code on the left side of the Merge Codes dialog box. When you are prompted, enter the category of the text to insert. For example, assume that all employees have a resume text whose category is Brief Intro. The Brief Intro must be inserted in each resume. Select the Resume Category code, and enter Brief Intro when you are prompted.

  • If all resume text for the employee must be inserted sequentially, select the All Resumes Codes group code. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert Client Addresses

  • To insert all of the addresses for a client sequentially, use the All Client Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the client’s primary address, use the Client Primary Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the client's billing address, use the Client Billing Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert a client address with a specific address description, use the Specific Client Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. When you are prompted, enter the description exactly as it is shown in Vision. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert Contact Addresses

  • To insert the contact’s business address, use the Contact Business Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the contact’s mailing address, use the Contact Mailing Address Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert Degree Information

  • To insert all of the degrees for an employee, without referring to the Proposals check box in the Education grid, use the All Degrees Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the degrees when the Proposals check box is selected in the Education grid, use the Degrees Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert License Information

  • To insert all of the licenses for an employee without referring to the Proposals check box in the Licenses grid, use the All Licenses Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the licenses when the Proposals check box is selected in the Licenses grid, use the Licenses Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert a Picture

Use the Graphics Placeholder code on the left side of the Merge Codes dialog box.

Insert a User-Defined Field

Use the Custom Tab Codes group code.

Insert Employee Skill Information

  • To insert all of the skills for an employee, use the Skill Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert the primary skill, use the Primary Skill Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert Contact information

  • To insert contacts that have a specific relationship to the employee, use the Specific Contact Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert all associated contacts, without referring to their relationship, use the Contact Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

Insert Client Information

  • To insert just clients that have a specific relationship to the employee, use the Specific Client Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.

  • To insert all associated clients, without referring to their relationship, use the Clients Codes group codes on the right side of the Merge Codes dialog box. It is necessary to use the Begin and End codes for the group.
