Run the Variance

Deltek recommends that you run the Spread Variance procedure during non-business hours.

To run the variance immediately, complete the following steps:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Planning > Spread Variance.
2. Enter information on the Spread Variance form.
3. On the toolbar, select Run. Vision calculates and spreads the number of hours across the individual cells included within the specified date range.

   If you did not select specific plans, Vision displays a warning message, stating that you will run spread variance for all plans in the entire database. Click Yes if you are  sure that you want to change all plans.

   The Spread Variance feature does not apply to the following types of plans:

   • Plans containing dependent tasks (from the Schedule tab of Project Planning)
   • iAccess plans
