Linking Projects/Jobs Between Vision and TrafficLIVE
If Vision and TrafficLIVE integration has been enabled and configured, Vision can receive new projects/jobs from TrafficLIVE when you run the TrafficLIVE web service.
After projects/jobs are received in Vision, they are considered to be "linked" between Vision and TrafficLIVE.
Terminology
Vision's projects are equivalent to TrafficLIVE's jobs. A project in TrafficLIVE is a group of jobs.
What You Need to Know About Linking Projects/Jobs Between Vision and TrafficLIVE
The following information applies to linking projects/jobs between Vision and TrafficLIVE using the TrafficLIVE web service:

Order of stages and tasks in Vision | After you link projects/jobs between Vision and TrafficLIVE, the order of stages and tasks listed for a project/job in the Vision Info Center matches the order of the stages and tasks as they appear in TrafficLIVE. If you change the order of stages and tasks in TrafficLIVE (move them up or down), the order in the linked project/job in Vision is not affected.
To change the order in Vision, you must use the Key Conversions utility in to change WBS2 and WBS3 numbers. Vision lists WBS2 and WBS3 in sequential order based on the WBS2 and WBS3 number. The order of stages and tasks could be important if you need to see the tasks in a specific order on the invoice. |
Vision Project Default Values | When you send project/jobs from TrafficLIVE to Vision, some fields for the linked project/job in Vision prefill with project default values that are defined in Vision Configuration. Where to make changes to linked projects/jobs | Changes that you make in Vision to linked projects/jobs can be updated in TrafficLIVE when you run the TrafficLIVE web service. Changing a Project/Job's Number in Vision | In Vision

, you can change a linked project/job's number. When you do this, the linked project/job in TrafficLIVE is updated with the new number when you run the TrafficLIVE web service if you entered the following settings on the General tab of the TrafficLIVE Web Service utility:
Export Errors | If a new TrafficLIVE project/job caused an error and did not export properly to Vision, check the TrafficLIVE Web Service Call Log. It is located at the bottom of the General tab of the TrafficLIVE Web Service utility in Vision. Click the hyperlink in the Message column in the grid to view more information about the error. |
