Set Up GovWin IQ Integration

Before you can use GovWin IQ integration with Vision or iAccess to import opportunity data, you need to configure the connection to GovWin IQ. You only need to complete the setup process for GovWin IQ integration one time.

Important: Because of significant changes in the GovWin IQ Web services for Vision 7.5 and later versions, firms that used GovWin IQ integration to download opportunity data into earlier versions of Vision must reconfigure GovWin IQ integration if they want to continue using it. This is required whether or not you want to take advantage of the GovWin IQ integration with iAccess. If you do not go through the configuration procedure after you upgrade to version 7.5 or a later version, the utility will no longer download any opportunity data.

To configure GovWin IQ integration:

  1. If you have not already done so, subscribe to the GovWin IQ Web Service and obtain the required user name and password to access GovWin IQ .
  2. If you want to use GovWin IQ integration with iAccess, install iAccess if you have not already done so.
  3. Notify your GovWin IQ Customer Success Manager (CSM) that you want to use GovWin IQ integration. Tell them whether you want to integrate GovWin IQ with both iAccess and core Vision or with core Vision only. If you want to integrate GovWin IQ with iAccess, give the CSM your iAccess URL. Your CSM then performs some configuration steps in GovWin IQ.
  4. When he or she notifies you that the GovWin IQ configuration is finished, complete the remaining steps below.
  5. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Advanced Utilities > GovWin IQ Web Service.
  6. Click the Configuration tab.
  7. To obtain your client ID and client secret, click the Integration Administration link in the text at the top of the tab and, if prompted to do so, enter your GovWin login credentials.
  8. On the Authorization Administration page in GovWin IQ, follow the instructions to generate your client ID and client secret.
  9. Copy the client ID and paste it into the Client ID field on the Configuration tab of the GovWin IQ Web Service form in Vision.
  10. Copy the client secret and paste it into the Client Secret field on the Configuration tab of the GovWin IQ Web Service form in Vision.
  11. Enter the Web service user name and password associated with your GovWin IQ subscription.
  12. Click the Validate button to verify that the subscription information is correct.
  13. Complete the remaining fields and options on the Configuration tab.
