You can search for generic and named resources in multiple ways.

- Perform a Project Planning Resource Search
Use the Project Planning resource search feature to enter specific information for a resource search, including an operator and a sub list for the type of search. You must perform a resource search before you can view the Resource Utilization or Employee Schedule. - Select Generic Resources with the Project Planning Resource Search
Generic resources are labor category placeholders that represent resource assignments in a plan. Generic resources act as placeholders for actual people to be named later. - Delete a Project Planning Resource Search
If you no longer need a saved search, you can delete it. - View an Employee's Schedule with the Project Planning Resource Search
Use the Employee Schedule tab to enter time scale information to check an employee's schedule. - View Resource Utilization with the Project Planning Resource Search
Use the Utilization tab to search an employee's activities, project calendar, or both, to check availability. You can look at the employee's utilization percentage by day, week, month, quarter, or biweekly.
