BLOB Codes for SF254 and SF255 Proposals
BLOB is an acronym for Binary Large OBject. A BLOB code gets a set of data from a database.
In Vision SF254 and SF255 proposals, BLOB codes are the bracketed text on the default merge templates. For example, the first two BLOB codes on the SF255 default merge template S5Consult are [CONSULTANT INFO] and [SPECIALTY DESCRIPTION].
- To identify the fields from which a BLOB code gets data, open the proposal in Vision Proposals and look at the corresponding section.
- To replace one or more BLOB codes with non-standard merge codes on an SF 254 or 255 proposal, use the procedures for modifying a 254 or 255 merge template.
