Billing Terms List

The Billing Terms List shows all billing terms defined for each project. Use this report to review and verify the billing terms entered using the Billing Terms form.

Report Header

The header section of the report shows the following for each project:

  • Project name
  • Project number
  • Client contact
  • Billing address
  • Invoice template information

Scheduled Billing

If your firm enables scheduled billing in Configuration (Configuration > Billing General > Miscellaneous tab), you can use the Fees tab of Billing Terms to specify a billing schedule for a project. For example, you can specify that the client be billed lump sums of $10,000 on each of three dates that you select.

If you generate the Billing Terms List for projects with scheduled billings, the Fee section of the report lists the following:

  • Scheduled billing dates
  • Amounts or percentage to be billed on each date

Multicompany

If you are using the Multicompany feature, this report is limited to projects that can be billed by the active company. Those projects include the following:

  • Projects owned by the active company
  • Sub-projects in billing groups with main projects owned by the active company. These sub-projects can belong to other companies.

The report does not include data from sub-projects that are owned by the active company but that are also part of a billing group with a main project owned by another company.

Options Dialog Box

Use the Options dialog box to specify reporting options for a report. Depending on the report, the dialog box contains one or more of the following tabs: General, Sorting/Grouping, Columns, Budget, Metrics, User Defined Sections, Activity, Drill Down, Layout, and Graph.
