ABRA Data Import Utility Overview

Use the ABRA Data Import Utility to automate the process of linking to the Abra database to collect and update your employee data in an Abra mapping table, and then import the data into Vision for processing.

After the data is imported, check its validity and update the Employee (EM) table with the information.

To use the ABRA Interface utilities, you must belong to a role that has access to ABRA Import, ABRA Export, or the entire ABRA Interface. You must also set up an ODBC System DSN named VisionABRA on your Vision application server. This ODBC System DSN should map to the Abra SQL Server database.

    Each data type in the Vision Field(s) column should have a coordinating data type that you enter, when necessary, in the appropriate Expression field on the Import Employee from ABRA Form Mapping tab.
