Saved Options
|
From the drop-down list, select a set of options to use for this refresh billing extension session. To select a set of options, click the Global Options or Personal Options folder to expand options, and click the option that you want to use.
You, or your company, must have saved at least one set of global or personal settings to have options available on the dialog box.

Organize
|
Click this option to display the Organize Options dialog box, where you can save all current settings for the refresh billing extension run, such as the accounting period range, to use for future runs.
|
Default
|
Click this option to restore the default refresh billing extension options.
To establish a set of global options as the default, select
Use as default options on the Organize Options dialog box.
|
Select Specific Projects
|
To select projects for the run, click
Search and use the Project Lookup to select the projects for which you want to refresh extensions.
To include all projects in the run, leave the default
All Projects selected for this option.
|
Unbilled transactions ONLY (statuses 'B', 'H', ' W', 'D')
|
Select this option if you want to refresh the billing extensions for only those transactions that have not yet been billed; these are the transactions with a status of Bill (to be billed), Hold, Delete, or Write-off.

Range of accounting periods
|
Enter a beginning and ending date to determine the range of periods for which to refresh billing extensions.
The ending period is a required field. You can leave the first field, indicating the beginning period, blank, to indicate the beginning of transaction history. You must, however, enter a date in the ending period field.
If you schedule a refresh billing extension run to run at a later time and you chose the
Always run in the Current period option or the
Always run in the Prior period option on the Options tab of the Schedule dialog box, Vision ignores the range of accounting periods entered here. Vision uses either the current period, or prior period, as indicated by the Schedule dialog box options.

Include historical transactions (transaction types ' HL' and 'HE')
|
Select this option to update all transactions of the type
HL (Project Labor History) and
HE (Project Expense History). The Refresh utility recalculates each transaction amount according to the project’s current billing terms (or according to reporting default terms if your firm selected
Use reporting default terms for all projects on the General tab of the Accounting System Settings form).

Include interactive billing modifications ('BIED' and BILD' tables)
|
Select this option to update extension amounts for transactions entered or modified through Interactive Billing (inserted or modified through the Interactive Billing form). Selecting this option updates the BIED (Billing Expense Detail) and BILD (Billing Labor Detail) tables. The Refresh utility recalculates the billing extension amount in all types of transactions in these tables, using the project’s current billing terms (or according to reporting default terms if your firm selected
Use reporting default terms for all projects on the General tab of the Accounting System Settings form).
Although information for bill extensions in the BIED and BILD tables are not used in Vision, this information can be useful for custom reports.

Include labor adjustments (transaction type 'LA')
|
Select this option to update all transactions of the type LA (Labor Adjustments). The Refresh utility recalculates each transaction amount according its project’s current billing terms (or according to reporting default terms if your firm selected
