Document Check In Dialog Box

When you finish work on a document, use the Document Check In dialog box to check the document back into SharePoint. After you check in a document, other Vision users can check out the document and make changes to it. You can also use this dialog box to save changes to the document but keep it checked out.

Location

To display the dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Info Center and then select the Info Center.
  2. Click the Documents tab.
  3. Browse to and select the document.
  4. Click Check In.

Field Description
Check in document Select this option to check this document back into SharePoint. The document becomes available to other users. If you use versioning, the document is updated with an incremental version number when you check it in..
Check in changes saved to this document, but keep the document checked out Select this option to save the updated document to SharePoint, but prevent other users from editing it.
File This field lists the document's name.
Check in Comments Enter comments that you want to associate with this check in.
Browse Click Browse to locate the document to check in.
