GovWin IQ Web Service Utility

Use the GovWin IQ Web Service utility to configure the connection between Vision and GovWin IQ .

The client ID and client secret that you enter on this form are also required if you want to import opportunities using GovWin IQ integration with iAccess. After you configure the connection, you can use either this utility or iAccess to import opportunity data from GovWin IQ into the Opportunity Info Center in Vision.

To use this feature, you must subscribe to GovWin’s market intelligence and lead generation service.

You have two basic ways to integrate Vision with GovWin IQ:

• Integrate GovWin IQ with both iAccess and core Vision. iAccess integration is recommended because it offers a more fully featured opportunity import process than the Vision-only integration. However, to use iAccess integration, you must install and set up iAccess for Vision.
• Integrate GovWin IQ with core Vision only.

If you integrate GovWin IQ with iAccess as well as Vision:

• While working in iAccess, you can select the GovWin IQ opportunities that you want to download. You do not need to go into GovWin IQ and mark them for downloading.
• You can launch the import process from iAccess, as needed.
• In addition to the opportunities, the import process also gives you the option to create records for clients, competitors, contacts, and milestones related to those opportunities.
• As soon as the import process finishes, you can add or edit information for the new opportunities.
• Opportunities that you download to iAccess are also saved as opportunities in the Opportunity Info Center in Vision.
• Opportunities that you download to iAccess are automatically linked to the corresponding GovWin IQ opportunity so you can use the GovWin IQ Web Service utility in Vision to download current GovWin IQ data for display on the IQ Info tab in the Opportunity Info Center.
• You still have the option to use the GovWin IQ integration functionality in Vision that is described below.

If you integrate GovWin IQ with Vision only, the integration is more limited:

• In GovWin IQ, you select for download the opportunities that you want to import into Vision.
• You use the GovWin IQ Web Service utility in Vision to download the selected opportunities into the Opportunity Info Center in Vision. Note that while this creates the opportunities in Vision with a default name and description and with display-only GovWin IQ information on the IQ Info tab, this method, in contrast to using iAccess integration, does not bring in clients, competitors, contacts, or milestones.
• Opportunities that you download to Vision are automatically linked to the corresponding GovWin IQ opportunity so you can use the GovWin IQ Web Service utility in Vision to download current GovWin IQ data for display on the IQ Info tab in the Opportunity Info Center.
