Graphics Placeholders for SF255 Merge Templates
To add graphics to a SF255 proposal, you must enter graphics placeholders into the merge template you plan to use. To insert a placeholder, enter it in the template at the location for the graphic in the completed proposal.
The graphic placeholder shows each graphic's location and dimensions.
Deltek recommends that you add several graphics placeholders to each page, at each location where you may be including graphics, to avoid having to re-modify the merge templates to accommodate additional graphics. Unused placeholders are deleted when you run a graphics macro.
Vision inserts graphics in the sequence in which you selected the graphics. The first placeholder merges the first graphics file in the list, the second with the second, and so on.
Each page of the SF255 has its own placeholder:
- Employee Pages Graphic Placeholder: Picture<[Employee Graphic: 1],2,p,l>
- Project Pages Graphic Placeholder: Picture<[Project Graphic: 1],2,p,l>
- Federal Project Pages Graphic Placeholder: Picture<[Federal Work Graphic: 1.5],2,p,l>
You can modify the variables in a graphics placeholder.
When you put a graphics file into a proposal, you must specify the path to the graphics file on the Files tab of the appropriate Info Center.
Do not use commas to separate the folder levels in a graphic's file path. Because Vision uses commas as separators in graphics placeholder codes, the merge procedure does not run correctly if it finds comma(s) in the graphic's file path.
It is correct to enter a file path like this:
M:\Graphics Server\Albany City Schools, Elementary School\Exterior.jpg
