Setting Up Payroll
Settings in the Employee Info Center and in Accounting Configuration impact the fields and options that you use in Payroll.

You establish employee withholding information on the Payroll tab of the Employee Info Center. Employee withholding information can be calculated and tracked based solely on an employee's gross wages or based on the location where work is performed. - Payroll Direct Deposit Setup Overview

Before processing payroll, your firm must establish payroll information for each employee, such as an employee’s pay rate and type, overtime percentage rates, and withholdings. You establish an employee's pay information from the Payroll tab of the Employee Info Center. - Pay Rate Tables and Payroll
In the Payroll application, you can set up tables that include override payroll rates for time charged to a project. Each override rate in a given table has an associated effective date. Vision compares the effective date with the transaction date of time charged to a project to determine the correct rate to use when calculating employee pay.
