Undoing Postings and Intercompany Billing

Special considerations come into play when you use the Undo Posting utility to undo completed postings, and you use Intercompany Billing.

Intercompany Billing is part of the Multicompany feature.

• If you undo the posting of files that contain records with Intercompany Billing components, problems may occur because only the original posting is unposted. The Intercompany Billing posting is unaffected. For example, if a Time record for an employee in company A for a project in company B was posted, and Intercompany Billing was subsequently processed for that time record, Undo Posting will only unpost the actual time record. The Intercompany Billing posting will remain in the General Ledger. If this occurs, Vision displays the following message: The file selected contains a record or records associated with intercompany billing. Unposting these records will not affect the intercompany billing postings. Do you want to continue? Yes/No.
• If you undo the posting of files that contain records with labor cross charge components, problems may occur because only the original time record posting is unposted. The labor cross charge posting is unaffected. If this occurs, Vision displays the following message: The file selected contains a record or records associated with the labor cross charge process. Unposting these records will not affect the labor cross charge postings. Do you want to continue? Yes/No.
