How Do I Move a Projects JTD Unbilled Balances When Changing Its Organization

If you change the organization for a project whose revenue method is not B, you must move the project's unbilled balances, if any, to the new organization. This ensures that Revenue Generation accrues the project's revenue accurately in the new organization.

These instructions apply for projects whose revenue method is not B.

To move unbilled balances for a project when changing its organization:

1. Assign revenue method B to the project.
2. Run Revenue Generation and post the RevGen file.

   This clears the unbilled balances for the project.

3. Change the project's organization.
4. In the Projects Info Center, change the project's revenue method from B to the revenue method that it had before.
5. Run Revenue Generation for the project, then post the RevGen file.

   This creates unbilled revenue for the project in the new organization.

To move unbilled balances for a project with revenue method N, you must create journal entry transactions.
