Project Planning Form
Use the Project Planning form to create or modify plans, or to work with top-down "what-if" scenarios.

You can drag and drop columns, use the right-click menu, and move the freeze bar to configure your view of the columns that display on the Planning grids. You can change the order in which the columns display on the Planning grids. - Display the Project Planning Form
You access the Project Planning Form in the Planning application. - Toolbar of Project Planning
Use the toolbar to work with the plan that is currently displayed. - General Tab of Project Planning
Use the General tab to enter or review basic information about the current plan, including its name and number, and the project manager responsible for the plan. - Rates Tab of Project Planning
Use the Rates tab to enter or review labor cost, billing, and unit rate information, as well as expense and consultant billing multipliers for the current plan. - Billing Analysis Tab of Project Planning
The Billing Analysis tab is a combination of user-entered fields, formulas, and results from the Planning application. All levels of the plan roll up to the top level (WBS1) to provide a quick analysis of the plan's anticipated performance and what your firm expects to be paid. - Cost Analysis Tab of Project Planning
The Cost Analysis tab is a combination of user-entered fields, formulas, and results from the Planning Labor, Expense, and Consultant tabs. All levels of the plan roll up to the top level (WBS1) to provide a quick overview of the plan's anticipated performance and overall costs. - Schedule Tab of Project Planning
Use the Schedule tab to make changes to start and finish dates and to set up relationships (dependencies) between tasks entered for a project's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) on the Labor tab of Project Planning. - Labor Tab of Project Planning
Use the Labor tab to enter or review labor information for the current plan. Vision calculates labor costs based on the estimated number of labor hours to complete work on the WBS element, multiplied by the "per hour cost rate" of resources assigned to the WBS element. - Expense Tab of Project Planning
Use the Expense tab to enter or review expense information for the current plan. - Unit Tab of Project Planning
Use the Unit tab to plan the quantities, cost amounts, and billing amounts for a unit for the current plan. Units are used to recover internal expenses and charge them to the project, whether or not the expense is reimbursable. - Consultant Tab of Project Planning
Use the Consultant tab to enter or review consultant expense information for the current plan. - Summary Tab of Project Planning
Use the Summary tab to review Billing, Compensation, Cost, Revenue, and Multiplier summaries for the current plan. - Top-Down Planning Tab of Project Planning
Use the Top-Down Planning tab to enter basic plan information, including fees, resources, and dates and spread the data over a period of time. You can then use this information to run a "what-if" scenario to determine how many hours will be required to complete a project.
