Contact Info Center Group Codes
Contact Info Center group codes let you retrieve information from the Contact Info Center for use in Custom Proposals.
Activities Codes
These codes merge out the activity records that are related to the client.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activities] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one activity, the end code marks the location at which the next activity starts.
Example:
[Activities:] starts the activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[End] completes the activity codes and marks the merge location of the next activity.
Activity Dialog, Detail Tab
Activity Custom Tab Codes
These codes merge data from any custom fields that are in the Activity dialog box.
These codes do not have a group code. They are at the end of the list of Activities Codes.
These codes are available only in the Activities Codes group.
You must use a begin code <Begin Activity Tab: Custom> and an end code <End>.
If the custom fields are in a grid, you must use the grid’s caption in the begin code. If the custom fields are individual fields, put the tab name into the begin code.
Example:
[Activities:] starts the activity codes
[ActivityClient: Name]
[Begin Activity Tab: Custom] starts the custom tab
[Tab Field: Manager] custom field code
[End] completes the custom tab codes. If the custom tab is a grid tab, the [End] code also marks the merge location for the next custom field.
[End] completes the activity codes and marks the merge location for the next activity.
Activity Dialog, Custom Tab
Activity Attendee Codes
These codes merge the data for all of the selected attendees for an activity.
The Activity Attendee Codes are available for use only in the Activities Codes group.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activity Attendees] and an end code [End].
You must begin the Activities Codes, then begin the Activity Attendees Group.
Example:
[Activities:] starts the activity codes
[Activity Contact: Name]
[Attendees:] starts the activity attendees codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] completes the activity attendees codes and marks the merge location of the next activity attendee
[End] completes the activity codes and marks the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog, Attendees Tab
Activity Contacts Codes
These codes merge data for all of the contacts selected for an activity.
The Activity Contacts Codes are available only in the Activities Codes group.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activity Contacts Codes] and an end code [End].
Because an activity can have more than one contact, the end code marks the location at which the next activity contact begins. You must first begin the Activities Codes, then begin the Activity Contacts Group.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Activity Contacts:] begins activity contacts codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends activity contacts codes and determines the merge location of the next activity contact
[End] ends activity codes and determines the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog, Contacts Tab
Activity Leads Codes
These codes merge data for all the selected leads for an activity.
The Activity Leads Codes are available only in the Activities Codes group.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activity Leads Codes] and an end code [End].
Because an activity can have more than one lead, the end code marks the location where the next activity lead begins.
You must begin the Activities Codes, and then begin the Activity Leads Group.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Activity Leads:] begins activity leads codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends activity leads codes and marks the merge location of the next activity lead
[End] ends activity codes and marks the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog, Campaign/Leads Tab
All Categories Codes
These codes merge data for the contact's categories.
You must use a begin code <Begin Categories Codes> and an end code <End>.
Because a contact can have more than one category, the end code marks the location where the next category begins.
Example:
[Categories:] begins the categories codes
[Category]
[End] ends the categories codes and marks the location of the next category
Contact Info Center, Activities Tab, Categories Grid
Associated Contact Codes
This group merges data for all of the contacts associated to the selected contact records.
You must use a begin code [Begin Associated Contact Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one associated contact, the end code marks the location where the next associated contact begins.
Example:
[Associations:] begins associated contacts codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[Phone]
[End] ends associated contacts codes and marks the location of the next associated contact
Contact Info Center, Associations Tab, Associations Grid
Business Address Codes
These codes merge data for the contact’s business address — either the Client Address or the Vendor Address location — that is selected for the contact record.
You must use a begin code [Begin Business Address Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact has only one business address, you can put the end code for the Business Address Codes group immediately after the last field that is selected from that group.
Example:
[Business Address:] begins the business address codes
[Address1]
[City], [State][End] ends the business address codes
Contact Info Center, General Tab, Business Address
Custom Tab Codes
These codes merge data from any custom tabs that are in the Contacts Info Center.
You must use a begin code [Begin Tab] and an end code [End].
In the begin code, you must enter the tab name exactly as it appears in the Contacts Info Center. The tab name is case-sensitive.
If the custom tab is grid-style, the end code marks the location where the next row of data starts. If the custom tab is an individual field, put the end code immediately after the last field selected from the tab.
Example:
[Begin Tab: Affiliations] begins the custom tab named Affiliations
[Tab Field: Affiliation Name]
[End] ends the custom tab codes. If the custom tab is a grid-style tab, the End code also marks the merge location of the next row from that custom tab.
Contact Info Center, Custom Tab "Affiliations"
Employees Codes
These codes merge data for a contact’s linked employees.
You must use a begin code [Begin Employee Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one linked employee, the end code marks the location where the next linked employee begins.
Example:
[Employees:] begins the employees codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends the employees codes and marks the merge location of the next employee
Contact Info Center, Associations Tab, Employees Grid
Files Codes
These codes merge data from the linked files. They do not merge the files themselves.
You must use a begin code [Begin Files Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one linked file, the end code marks the location where the next linked file info begins.
Example:
[Files:] begins the linked files data
[File Description]
[Filepath]
[End] ends the linked files data and marks the merge location of the next file link
Contacts Info Center, Files Tab
Mailing Address Codes
These codes merge data for the contact’s mailing address. This is the address that has the Mailing option selected. This may be either the Client Address/VendorAddress or the Home/Other address.
You must use a begin code [Begin Mailing Address Codes] and an end code [End].
Because the contact can have only one mailing address, you can place the end code for the Mailing Address Codes group right after the last field selected from within that group.
Example:
[Mailing Address:] begins the contact’s mailing address
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State][End] marks the end of the contact’s mailing address
Contacts Info Center, General Tab, Mailing Address
Marketing Campaigns Codes
These codes merge data from the linked marketing campaign records.
You must use a begin code [Begin Marketing Campaigns Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one linked marketing campaign, the end code marks the location where the next linked marketing campaign begins.
Example:
[Marketing Campaigns:] begins marketing campaigns codes
[Name]
[End] ends marketing campaigns codes and marks the merge location of the next marketing campaign
Contacts Info Center, Marketing Campaigns Tab
Opportunities Codes
These codes merge data for the linked opportunities.
You must use a begin code [Begin Opportunities Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one linked opportunity, the placement of the end code marks the location where the next linked opportunity begins.
Example:
[Opportunities:] begins opportunities codes
[Name]
[Address1]
[City], [State]
[End] ends opportunities codes and marks the merge location of the next opportunity
Contacts Info Center, Opportunities Tab
Projects Codes
These codes merge data for the linked projects.
You must use a begin code [Begin Projects Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a client can have more than one linked project, the placement of the end code marks the location where the next linked project begins.
Example:
[Projects:] begins projects codes
[Longname]
[Address1]
[City], [State]
[End] ends projects codes and marks the merge location of the next project
Contacts info Center, Projects Tab
Specific Associated Contact Codes
This group merges data for all associated contacts for the selected contact records and refers to the specified association.
You must use a begin code [Begin Specific Associated Contact Codes] and an end code [End].
Because a contact can have more than one associated contact with the same relationship, the placement of the end code marks where the next associated contact begins.
Example:
[Association: Co-Worker] begins contacts with the specified role
[FirstName] [LastName]
[End] ends associated contacts codes and determines the merge location of the next specified associated contact
Contacts Info Center, Associations Tab, Associations Grid
Specific Employee Codes
These codes merge data for the linked employees and refer to the specified relationship to the contact.
You must use a begin code [Begin Selected Employee] and an end code [End].
After you select the begin code, you must enter the employee relationship.
Because a contact can have more than one linked employee with the same relationship, the end code marks where the next linked employee begins.
Example:
[Employee: Primary] begins the selected employee codes
[FirstName] [LastName]
[Title]
[End] ends the selected employee codes and marks the merge location of the next employee
Contacts Info Center, Associations Tab, Employees Grid
