Activate Modules
You need to activate the Vision modules, or applications, that employees in your company use. When you activate a module, you may also need to enable that module in order for Vision to display that module's menus.
To activate modules, complete the following steps:
- From the Vision Navigation menu, click .
- In the Client Number field on the Module Activation form, enter the Deltek-supplied client number.
-
For each licensed module, enter the Deltek-supplied, system-level password in the
Password column.
Passwords change with each major Vision version.
- The password that you enter for the Multilingual module determines the languages that are enabled. The License column indicates how many languages are activated.
- If you purchased Vision Performance Management, Visualization is activated when you activate Vision Performance Management. In the Password field next to Performance Management, enter the password that Deltek issued to you when you purchased Vision Performance Management.
- If you have Visualization but have not purchased Vision Performance Management, enter the Visualization password in the Password field next to Visualization.
After you enter a password for a module, the Expiration column displays one of the following settings:
- n/a — This displays if you have an unlimited license for a module. An unlimited license has no expiration date.
- <date> — An expiration date displays for any module that has a subscription type license.
Currently, Connect for Microsoft Outlook is the only module with this type of license.
- Click OK.
- Use the X button to log off, then log back in to Vision for your changes to take effect. If you click the Log Off button to close the Vision application, the language choices will not display on the login screen. You must use the X button instead of the Log Off button to close the application and activate the languages.
- To export the information on the Module Activation form to Excel, or to print the information, click Vision Modules above the list of modules.
