You establish defaults for Planning and Summary grids in Configuration.

A planning grid presents data for each element in the Work Breakdown Structure. Use the Labor, Expenses, Consultants, or Units tabs of the Planning Grids form to select the columns and rows that display by default on the Planning grid on the corresponding tab in Project Planning.
