Set Up the Global Table of Accounts

Establish the Global Table of Accounts to apply multipliers to accounts when you bill a project or class of projects using the By Account method. These multipliers override the multiplier specified in the billing terms record.

Vision searches for the account multiplier in the Global Table of Accounts if an account table has not been specified in the billing terms record, or if the account does not exist in the account table specified in the billing terms record.

To set up the Global Table of Accounts, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Billing > Billing Rate Tables > Expense Accounts.
  2. In the Search field on the Expense Account Tables form, enter Global Table of Accounts.
  3. Click outside the Search field to open the Global Table of Accounts.
  4. On the grid, click Insert to add an account to the table.
  5. On the Expense Account Tables form, enter information in the Account, Name, and Multiplier fields.
  6. Repeat these steps until the Global Table of Accounts contains all of the expense accounts and multipliers that your firm requires.
  7. Click Save.
