Deltek-Provided Key Performance Indicators

Deltek provides some pre-designed key performance indicators (KPIs) on the Key Performance Indicators tab in Analysis Cubes Configuration.

You can use these when you create Vision custom reports (pivot table reports) in Excel or in any business intelligence tool that supports Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services OLAP cubes. You can also use them when you create Performance Management dashboards.

If you use Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition, the following Deltek-provided KPIs are not available:

  • DSOTargetPrincipal
  • DSOTargetOrg1
  • DSOTargetOrg2
  • DSOTargetOrg3
  • DSOTargetOrg4
  • DSOTargetOrg5
  • DSOTargetProject Manager
  • DSOTargetNoDimension
  • DWOTargetPrincipal
  • DWOTargetOrg1
  • DWOTargetOrg2
  • DWOTargetOrg3
  • DWOTargetOrg4
  • DWOTargetOrg5
  • DWOTargetProject Manager
  • DWOTargetNoDimension

These KPIs are available if you use SQL Server Enterprise Edition.

Warning

If you try to delete one of these KPIs on the Key Performance Indicators tab, Vision displays a warning. The warning informs you that if you delete the KPI, you will receive errors within the Vision pivot table reports that contained the KPIs.

On the Key Performance Indicators tab, you can change all except the following settings for the Deltek-provided KPIs:
  • Measure
  • Measure Type
  • Dimension
  • Timeframe
  • Label

Deltek-Provided Key Performance Indicators

The following pre-defined KPIs are provided by Deltek on the Key Performance Indicators tab in Configuration > General > Analysis Cubes:

KPIs with "Org1," "Org2," "Org3," "Org4," or "Org5" in their label apply if you use organizations in Vision. These KPIs applies for the specified organization level (1–5).
