Web Dashpart Security
To display another web site's content in Vision, Vision uses a special Internet Explorer browser control. Microsoft has implemented a security feature in Internet Explorer that prevents this special control from altering or changing the content of a Web dashpart.
This security precaution protects users from tricks and tactics used by unethical and aggressive web sites; it essentially prevents one web site from hacking another web site.
Because of this security feature, Vision Web dashparts have no control over the content of the hosted Website. Vision users with the authority to create Web dashparts should be aware of the implications of this security feature when creating new parts.
-
Pop-up ads — Vision cannot prevent browser-based pop-up windows from being displayed when a Vision Web dashpart loads or is refreshed. Pop-up blocking software is not recommended because it can affect Vision functions.

Web sites that "take over" the browser and load themselves in the currently opened Internet Explorer window — Vision cannot prevent web sites from taking over the currently opened Vision browser window. Web sites that can take over the Vision browser can throw the user out of Vision. If the user places one of these Web dashparts on his or her Dashboard, this can result in every log-on attempt kicking the user out of Vision.
The solution to this problem is to re-launch Vision without loading the startup application and then eliminate the dashpart that is causing the problem.
