Before you implement and use Vision, it is important to understand the fundamental principles of the application. The Concepts documentation gives you a basic understanding of the principles behind the transactions, processes, and activities that are vital to the work that you perform in Vision.

    The Multicurrency feature lets your firm transact business in any number of global currencies, while maintaining core financial records in a single, functional currency.

    Vision supports multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and Dutch. After you select a language, the entire Vision application, including the login screen, displays in the selected language.
  • Security Overview
    Vision's security lets a system administrator grant or restrict a user's access to applications, forms, records, and options in Vision.
  • History Overview
    Most likely, when you install and begin using Vision, you will already have a great deal of project and accounting data stored in other places. You must supply Vision with a certain amount of this historical data (such as account balances as of the installation cutoff date) for your Vision processing and reporting to make sense.
  • Business Process Management Overview
    Through business process management, you can use standard protocols to call advanced Vision functionality or third-party applications.
  • Approval Workflows Overview
    Approval workflows allow you to set up an approval process for records that you enter in certain Vision applications.
  • Document Management Overview
    If you are using the Vision Document Management application, you can store, share, and collaborate on a set of documents for every client, contact, lead, marketing campaign, and opportunity record in your Info Center. You can link a single document to either one record, or to multiple records in multiple Info Centers.
  • Proposals Overview
    Project proposals are the principal tools that you use to sell your firm's services and win new business. Proposals contain all the information about your firm, your employees, and your previous work that prospective clients want to know before they award a contract.
  • Asset Management Overview
    Asset Management is an optional Vision module that you use in conjunction with the Equipment Info Center to track and process depreciation or amortization for asset items that you capitalize.

    Use Vision Purchasing to automate your firm's record keeping for both internal and project-related procurement and receiving of services, materials, supplies, and capital items. Use Vision Inventory to automate the management and tracking of your firm's inventory items.
